The Women (and Men) of Women Lead
Women Lead at GSU
Women Lead is an undergraduate program started by Nancy Mansfield in the Robinson College of Business and is currently expanding to other areas like STEM throughout campus. This program focuses on women in the workforce and leadership. Students learn about social and economic forces that impact women in the workforce and also develop a leadership strategy. A core component of the program is participation in a Signature Experience course. Both Women Lead in Business (BUSA 3400) and Women in Science (BIOL 4930) offer students opportunities to gain hands-on experiences and interact with leaders in their field. Students participate in company visits, roundtable discussions with leaders and group mentoring with alumni. Students have shown overwhelming support for the program and specifically, participations in activities related to the course. Check out event pictures, twitter comments about their experiences, and links to news articles below. Go to http://womenlead.robinson.gsu.edu/ to learn more about the program and apply.
